Sachauli

Sachauli village is located about 14 kilometers away from Barsana town and is usually flooded with devotees from different parts during the nine days long Navratri festival. It’s believed that Shri Radharani used to go daily to Ambika van, which is located some distance from Nandgaon to meet Lord Krishna. One day Radharani’s mother (Kirtida) asked her about her daily visit to Ambika van. Srimati Radharani gave her an excuse that she goes there daily for worshiping the goddess.

Knowing about the goddess mother Kirtida suggested that she will also go with her for darshan. Radharani could not say no and both of them went together to Ambika Van. But Radharani was scared beacuse there was no such temple in Ambika Van. She had only used it as an excuse. The real purpose was to meet Krishna. She was afraid that the truth will be revealed.

When they were a little distance away they saw a beautiful temple manifesting there. And inside the temple there was this gorgeous deity of a goddess. Radha rani was suprised but she did not show it to mother. Both had darshan of the goddess and worshiped her.

Krishna had instatntly arranged this so that the word of His topmost devotee, Srimati Radharani, should prove true. In Hindi true means 'sach'. Because of this pastime the temple is known as Sachauli. In fact Krishna Himself had turned into a devi.
